Stacey qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017 in Portugal and moved to the UK in 2018 Staceys' career as a nurse in the UK started in Tunbridge Wells in 2018. She moved to London in 2019 to work in a busy first opinion practice as Head Nurse. Animal welfare and ethics are hugely important to Stacey, and patient happiness is paramount. Her interests at work include nurse clinics, dermatology and nutrition. At home, she has a tiny dog called Nami Stacey also adopted a very snotty cat called Toastie, meaning she no longer can eat ever in peace again.
Sophia graduated from Southampton University last summer after studying marine biology and has recently got a place at university for next September to study veterinary medicine. Sophia is new to the vet world but excited to be part of the team. At home she has two lovely dogs, one labradoodle and one maltipoo called Twix and Mango.
Clara is our Lead Clinical Vet. She qualified in Spain and spent almost 6 years in a busy first opinion practice in London. She has deep interest in imaging and surgery and she is currently finishing a PgCert in Small Animal Surgery. She enjoys travelling, dancing salsa and cooking spanish food. She has a rescued cat called Menta that loves cuddles and hunting flies!
Alice graduated from Bristol University in 2019 and has since worked in first opinion practice in both London and Kent. She is currently working towards a certificate in Small Animal Medicine. When she is not at work, she looks after her two, very senior but adorable cats, Penny and Hendrix and plays an unusual sport called korfball.
Chandni graduated from Harper Adams University in 2019 and has since been working in first-opinion practice in London. She has a keen interest in small animal behaviour and nutrition, as well as nursing complex medicine cases. Outside of work she is cooking up a storm or going for long walks with her rescue Malinois pup, Xena!
Nick has worked in the veterinary industry for over 9 years. His superpower is to make the complicated simple and create space for the team to do their best work. He's a lover or spaniels, dachshunds and cars.
Gabby qualified as an RVN from the Royal Veterinary College in March 2022, where she is currently undertaking a further Bachelor’s degree. She has worked in a busy clinic in South London for a year, where she has developed a keen interest in surgical nursing, as well advocating for the move towards feline friendly nursing techniques. In her free time, Gabby enjoys reading, cooking and going on country walks with her dog Marley. She also has three Guinea pigs Rusty, Coco and Bunny.
Andrew is Co-Founder and Chief Veterinary Office at Pickles. With over 20 years of experience as a vet, Andrew is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology and an EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Cardiology. He oversees all the clinical aspects of Pickles and makes sure we provide the best possible care to all patients.
Richard is one of the founders of Pickles. He started the business after going to many vets with his dog Pickles. He noticed not only was the experience not great for many people it wasn't good for the clinical team. He's now passionate about making environments people can give the best care for pets. He can be found cuddling dogs in the reception.
Stacey is our Customer Experience Lead at Pickles. He has been in the Veterinary industry for 10+ years, and his passion is giving pets and their parents the best possible experience as soon as they walk through the door. At home, Stacey and his husband have three rescue Sphynx cats – Seraphina, Severus, and Sepphira – and caring for them fills most of their time. When the occasion arises, however, he enjoys attending concerts and going to the theatre, especially to see musicals. You'll find him warmly greeting you at the front of house as soon as you enter Pickles.
Alice graduated from the University of Surrey, and then worked in a busy first opinion practice in Swindon. She has a specific interest in dentistry and nutrition, and is working with the University of Surrey on further research into veterinary nutrition. When not at work her cheeky miniature schnauzer Percy keeps her very busy!
Claudia is a Venezuelan/Portuguese Veterinary Surgeon, graduated from the University of Lisbon in 2020. She has been working in busy first opinion hospitals in England for the last 2 years. She is currently interested in exploring ways to use technology to help improve pet care. Claudia has special interests in ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and internal medicine, considering a postgraduate qualification. Outside of work she enjoys writing (poetry), learning German, playing tennis and exploring new cafes to study in.
Emma achieved both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Animal Behaviour at Anglia Ruskin University. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2022 and started working as a Head Nurse in a first opinion practice in central london. Her interests at work include behaviour and exotics. When not at work she is either reading a book or watching Formula 1.
